I still have
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ focal main restricted
in my sources.list, which should have this possibility covered?
And irrespective of dependency issues, shouldn't I still be able to just
query an individual package's data, with apt-cache? I'm not seeing it. I can
find it in the mirrored Packages.
Perhaps my problem is that at the very end of "apt-get update", I get this:
Reading package lists... Done

I have a sneaky feeling that this results in apt-get throwing away
everything from my local mirror. This doesn't seem to be a transient
mirroring issue, I've been getting this for a few days now, while tinkering
with this. I don't see the reason for this. From where I'm sitting,
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/focal-updates/main/dep11/
and
http://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/ubuntu/dists/focal-updates/main/dep11/
look exactly the same to me. Neither one of them has a "icons-64x64 at 2.tar"
that apt-get wants to open.
