Hi,
that's not what I dislike. At least Ubuntu One does work nowadays. In
it early days it was slow, if working at all.
OTOH GitHub is a PITA:
"We just sent your authentication code via email to
***********. The code will expire at 5:31PM CEST."

Subject: [GitHub] Please verify your device
Hey R-a-l-f!
A sign in attempt requires further verification because we did not
recognize your device. To complete the sign in, enter the
verification code on the unrecognized device.
Device: Firefox on Linux
Verification code: *****
If you did not attempt to sign in to your account, your password may
be compromised. Visit https://github.com/settings/security to create
a new, strong password for your GitHub account.
If you'd like to automatically verify devices in the future,
consider enabling two-factor authentication on your account. Visit
https://docs.github.com/articles/configuring-two-factor-authentication
to learn about two-factor authentication. [...]
There is nothing such as an auto-verification, it's way more work to
enable this crap, than to continue to copy and paste a PIN from an
email.
I can't stand GitHub aynmore, but I need keep my acount to report bugs
against some Linux as well as iPadOS software.
Regards,
Ralf
