I imagine that google will tell you how to determine what version it
is and how to update it. Or the manufacturers website of course. If
it is not a hardware problem then I think the firmware is the most
likely cause.
You said you had run the ramtest, for how many hours did you run it?
I suggest at least 5 hours.
