Some apps will not load in VNC, why?

I am unable to run gparted in VNC either.
I get:
bijan at bijan-xps:~$ gparted
Error executing command as another user: No authentication agent found.
I suppose there are two fixes.
1. since you are logged in locally, you can run x11vnc to connect to the
local display via VNC and run gparted in that VNC.
2. configure polkit it or whatever is responsible for prompting for a
password to work in VNC sessions.
