It was not a command, and nothing has been done yet. We are not trying
to fix an update. I'm actually now doing backups before an update.
It got started with a small popup window [from a snap??] suggesting an
update, and the info in that window did not correspond to the usual
Ubuntu update timing. I was confused about that and asked here, and Liam
cleared it up well - Kubuntu needs updates more often than straight
Ubuntu - a different schedule for KDE. If I had just Ubuntu, I would
NOT need to do a new release. But, perhaps the new KDE requires Ubuntu
to be updated as well?
It seems both KDE and Ubuntu will be updated to a new release if I click
on the 'Upgrade' box in the popup window. Not clear, to me at least,
that both would be done by the usual CLI instructions. Do you know that
KDE would also be done via the usual CLI you describe above? Just
trying to understand...
