Different systems, Samsung S20 and Fedora 35.

I use two ways, cable connect and mtp (must activate on phone)
and lately (year or more), kdeconnect (app on phone, package on 
computer) and "share" from phone to computer.

Note, I don't run KDE on the computer but Mate.  I forget, but
installing kdeconnect probably pulled in a bunch of other stuff.
