Text to Speech

Hi All

I would wait to see if the upgrade to 22.04 answers my query, but as it looks 
like I still have ~14 hours left (12 in at time of posting) due to slow 
internet

I'll ask first and check later, hopefully with some good hints from here

how good/easy or otherwise is Text-to-Speech under 22.04? I have a few Win 
boxes still working and there it's close to Steve Hawkins reading you a cafe' 
menu, a friend with an Apple box or two always wows me when he downloads  Text, 
Pdf, ePub etc and his (albeit over priced) setup reads it all like Fenella 
Fielding (actress 1927-2018 for the younger here) is reading you alone a 
personal bed time story, I though it may have been text especially written for 
Text to Speech, but I fed his machine with normal text an dstill the same 
results

Thoughts anyone?
