Following the Ubuntu Handbook Instructions
I downloaded hplip-3.20.5
then
chmod +x ~/Downloads/hplip-3.20.5.run
./Downloads/hplip-3.20.5.run

Things went along fine taking the suggested responses(*) until:

Running 'sudo apt-get install --assume-yes python-pyqt5'
Please wait, this may take several minutes...
error: Package install command failed with error code 100
Would you like to retry installing the missing package(s) (y=yes*, n=no,
q=quit) ? y

I tried once and when it happened a second time replied q.

How do I recover?
Just in case

Tried plugging the printer back in (the instructions said to unplug it
first before installing). simple-scan found the device, however, when I
tried to scan I got a Segmentation fault (core dumped) for a response.
So I would guess the python-pyqt5 is needed.

Discovered that the report on the core dump had the following:

Installation Media
Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64(20190805)

Do I have a wrong version??? Should I send it to the developers?

How do I recover if the release is wrong???

Printing still works!

I will keep researching...

Jay
