It's a dpkg-managed conffile, so you'll be prompted about it on upgrade.
Though of course if you aren't very familiar with that process then that
opens the possibility of being confused by the prompt and breaking
something, especially if like me you're in the bad habit of doing
upgrades when you've either only just woken up or should really have
gone to bed ...
