Copied system partitions to USB disk, how to proceed to make a clone?

OK, this is a long shot...

I Googled about booting your lenovo and I found this page. Although it does
say Windows. there is every chance that it will work for Linux:-

With your computer switched off, put a bootable USB flash drive into it.
When you boot your lenovo, you *should* be able to get to a boot device
menu by pressing either F11 or F12 when the lenovo logo appears. Then, you
should have the option to choose the boot device you are looking for.
