Query about 21.10 release notification

I installed 21.10 on a laptop with optimus graphics, and used the gui
dialog to install the proprietary drivers
and everything works.  no command line or special fidgeting.  I have not
been able to tell whether the intel gpu is ever used or not though. I don't
know if switching is working... but the nvidia part definitely seems to be
working.
