Hi Maxim,

I am not using the version of Ubuntu that you are using. I am using 20.04.3
LTS (x86_64).

However, as well as ALT+TAB, you can press WIN+TAB (sometimes called
Super+TAB).

According to GNOME Tweaks, what you refer to as a virtual desktop, GNOME
calls them Workspaces.

On my system, ALT+TAB cycles through applications on the current Workspace.

Also on my system, WIN+TAB cycles through all applications. With one
exception. If you have multiple instances of a program running, it lists
those instances with a single icon and you have to press down arrow to get
a list of those instances and choose the instance you wish to switch to.

I have dabbled with Ubuntu 21.10 beta and instead of it using CTRL+ALT+UP
or DOWN to switch between Workspaces, you have to use CTRL+ALT+LEFT or
RIGHT.

HTH,

Ian
