I have this Ubuntu *Server* 20.04.3 on a new Lenovo PC, which was created by
migration from an older 18.04 LTS installation on a 10 years old eMachine PC.
(See longish threads on this list starting about 6 weeks ago about it if you are
interested)
Now I would like to get a *slim* desktop on it and I have found these
instructions on how to do it:
KDE:
https://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=Ubuntu_20.04&p=desktop&f=2
Cinnamon:
https://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=Ubuntu_20.04&p=desktop&f=3
Which one should I choose and are the install instructions valid?
I would like to get the "normal" set of GUI based tools including GParted but
none of the big "productivity" applications, if that is avoidable.
And I like to have a main menu and be able to configure the location of a
"taskbar" etc.
