Interesting - the guides I found online said I need to install that on the host.

Would that interfere with the operation on the host enough to prevent
it from even getting to the grub menu?

I believe that would be the same setting as needed to run the 64-bit
VMs in VirtualBox.

Yes, I set this way back when I first installed VB on 21.10 and hit
the same problems as every time I change hardware.

Is there a way to check this from the command line?
