colin at tigger:~$ apt policy tigervnc
N: Unable to locate package tigervnc

colin at tigger:~$ apt policy x11vnc
x11vnc:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 0.9.16-3
  Version table:
     0.9.16-3 500
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/universe amd64 Packages

That doesn't tell you whether it is contained in another package. I
find the best way then is to google for
install tigervnc ubuntu
