before dropping much of the security hardening of ubuntu by disabling
apparmor i'd rather check how to fix your datalogger to make it work
properly ...
apport is the crash reporter of ubuntu, it just kicks in as a result of
your datalogger crashing ...
do you have any logs of the crashes ?
