How do we disable the snap stuff

Hi,

the word "malicious" is misleading, but I understand that users are
stressed out by the "pitfalls" of modern computer hardware and software.

OTOH it's solaceful that those pitfalls of modern computer hardware and
software come with an advantage over old computers and old software, as
well as an advantage over analog gear, the things we had to use in the
past. While in the old times we didn't suffer that much of pitfalls, if
at all, a lot of things were not affordable. The modern computers and
the modern proprietary software, as well as FLOSS give us almost endless
opportunities by making a lot of domains financially feasible, that
were way to expensive for most of us in the past.

In my domains, audio and video, we can build more or less professional
grade studios, for just a small part of the financial resources, we
needed to pay for getting amateurish home studios in the past. While
it's annoying that nowadays an update easily could ruin an audio or
video production, it's still just a little evil, given that we can do
things nowadays, we couldn't do with way more expensive old computers
and analog gear in the past at all.
