Ventoy: 1.0.31 as well as 1.0.32 x86_64 are working on my Arch Linux
machine.

[rocketmouse at archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qi ventoy-bin | grep On
Depends On : bash util-linux xz exfat-utils dosfstools
                  lib32-glibc

If you can live without the multi-boot solution, because you maybe have
several USB sticks and/or SD cards at hand, try
https://balena.io/etcher. But even if Ventoy should fail on Ubuntu, try
installing it via a wine prefix or just use the Ventoy LiveCD,
https://www.ventoy.net/en/doc_livecd.html .

Actually I didn't set up a Ventoy multi-boot USB stick yet, but Xubuntu
20.04.1 with persistence performs terrifyingly good on an USB 3
stick/port. I used it today, a few minutes back.
