Hi

The problem occured again and with the help of the information which Colin
Watson provided, I have been able to find out what happened.

I've done this in /usr/local/src/bfgminer, after compiling:

sudo checkinstall --docdir=/usr/local/share/doc/bfgminer make install

Then I removed the package again and the symlink "/bin -> usr/bin" was
replaced by an EMPTY directory, with just one file
/usr/lib/terminfo/x/xterm.

I booted from an USB stick and inspected the /lib directory, and saw what
had happened. By extracting /lib from a backup, I found that it should be a
symlink to usr/lib. After I replaced the (almost) empty /lib with the
symlink, everything worked again.

Cheers,
Volker
