If you just look at the bottom of the computer for any make/model
information, is there any info there?
It may be worth asking this ThinkPenguin company, yes. I do not know
them myself and I am not in the Americas so I cannot say.
I used to work with a company that sold Linux-compatible laptops and I
suspect yours is a Clevo system. They make inexpensive laptops that
run Linux well. They are also sold as "Zoostorm".
I tried a simple Google for:
NV4XMB bios
... and it led me to:
https://www.clevo.com.tw/clevo_down.asp?lang=en
But I do not know what version you have. Do you know the key to enter
the CMOS setup program? Just look in there. It's much simpler and
more reliable than trying to poke at the settings via Linux.
