ubuntu 20.04 compiler problem?

I have an SD card for each,  as well the 64 bit as 32 bit Ubuntu 20.04.


I ran into issues as described earlier, compiling someone's code on 
Ubuntu 64-bit, however, it does compile on Ubuntu 20.04 32-bit, which I 
thought was odd, or maybe a bug?
