16.04: How do I get my copy dialogue back?

After rebooting a couple of times, the problem seems to have gone.
Regardless, I have replied to the questions put by Collin.

The dlialogue that pops up after one copies by crl-c a file from one
browser window to another by ctrl-v. The one with the slider bar indicating
progress.

something like I am using the regular release on a Dell laptop. I indicated
the version (16.04) in the title of this email.
Try logging in as a different user (create one if necessary) that will

Was trying this stuff but the problem fixed itself. Maybe if (when) it
happens again, I can try it then.
