Unstable system after installing 18.04 LTS

Good afternoon,

  Several days ago I installed 18.04 LTS as a replacement for 16.04 LTS

  Since that time the system has been crashing at least daily, usuely
after a few hours.

  I had discovered (in the latest syslog) the following messages from
pulseaudio[1461]:

snd_pcm_delay() returned a value that is exceptionally large: -719240
bytes (-4077 ms).

Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_hda_intel'. Please
report this issue to the ALSA developers.

Could this be causing the problem?

there also was a number of entries from org.gnome.Nautilus[1369]:

Heartbeat - error!  - {"isTrusted":true}

What is this?

Other than that did not find much...

Thanks,

Jay
