I did not want a dialog although I have started to ssh -Y for viewing
images created on a remote machine. Normally the output is just one
line or two, I guess I could dump larger sections of the file
that provoked the error as that would be hard to miss. I'd
like it to run on a VT100 :)
I guess I could just invoke vi with that file as that would
be obvious...
At the point this script runs, I've usually forked off to
editing in another tty and just ignore the output. If it popped
up vi that would prevent me from overwriting it easily
and that is when it make things harder.
