I didn't know the origin story. Thank you for that!

Of course there is also SMSQ/E now. Both FOSS although I am not sure
about the licence terms -- I know SMSQ/E's source licence isn't
compliant with the general FOSS definitions, and since Minerva is
based on Sinclair code, I don't know if it even can be.

I vaguely intend to see if it is possible to build, or assemble, a
bare-metal Sinclair QL emulator for the RasPi to make use of the fact
that there are not 1 but 2 free QL OSes out there, but almost no
modern hardware to run them on.

SMSQ/E was written for the Atari ST, AIUI, and there is at least one
very capable ST emulator (Aranym) that is aimed at serious users
rather than gamers.

All the QL emulation I know of tends to focus on Windows, sadly.
