Dual Displays and Multiple Workspaces

Thanks Karl,

My apologies I failed to mention that I am on 18.04 LTS.

My set up worked fine in 16.04 LTS, however 18.04 LTS is different.

If I create a window on the secondary display it appears that it remains 
there there regardless of the workspace selected.
