Dual Displays and Multiple Workspaces

My experience may be no use as I am a still on 16.04LTS, but I just
slide the window onto the desired display and select "Always on visible
workspace" if I want it to follow me around, and "only on this
workspace" if I want it to stay put. Each workspace includes both
displays though, i.e., each workspace is two displays wide.
I use seven workspaces. All seems to work pretty well.
