We've (as tv broadcasters) used the little 2 button x10 wireless remote 
to trigger the next weather map behind the weather person by chroma key, 
for close to 50 years now.  With the receiver right in the studio, it 
Just Works.

But that doesn't have a cat teaser in it. :)
