I burnt a DVD of 20.04 to reinstall over 19.10. It crashed my Hp 2yeare
old Hp gaming computer and and It will not start from a DVD now.and has
no operating system. It will not allow me to choose a DVD iso file
the dvd runs about 3 seconds and shuts down. I can't open the bios to
see if there is something changed there. I don't know whether the dvd
was corrupted in burning or whether the ISO file that I down loaded was
corrupted. I installed Ubuntu Studio 1910 On my old Dell Optipex 780 and
worked fine then I down loaded another 20.04 iso burned it and did
check sum. It would not load and now I cannot use a DVD ISO file to
imstall on that computer either, But Studio runs fine in 19.10 edition
Other than being a bit slow and clunky for editing HD video 1920 x 1080
but does work. I may take the Hp to geek squad and let them install
windows 10 if they can just to get it working as that is what came from
the factory. Then I can go back to Ubuntu. I wish I could give more
information But at 86 years old this head of mine is getting low on
information. My conclusion is the computer cannot see the DVD.
