The controversy around snaps is growing :-(

The pitfalls of Snap, Flatpack and Co. are not only an issue for nice
domains such as pro-audio. For example, take a look at the Evolution
MUA. How could the evolution-data-server access GOA when installed by
Snap, Flatpak and Co.? You can't compare the minor pitfalls of iOS and
iPadOS with completely unresolved issues of Snap, Flatpak and Co., that
are more than a decade of at least "partly reasonable" features beyond
Apple's development.
