Definitely. When the software was installed, it may have configured
itself for some of hardware present in the old computer. This means you
can't just re-use the disks unmodified: you need to recreate the
environment from scratch by installing the software again.

Thanks, I missed that. I had to install the Brother scanner drivers on
my laptop when I went to visit relatives, and when I changed laptop I
had to do it all over again, but this looks very useful.
