Thanks, I added the ppa but settings still tell me that all software is up-to-date. Made me realise that in a month of use I've only had Livepatch updates. I would have expected more on a new machine, as the manufacturer wouldn't be installing the very latest software.
Perhaps I'll just remove LO and replace with the later version from their site.
