how would it be able to provide better results than google using the
exact same engine ? 

indeed the search is less personal if the algorithm does not have
access to your browser cache, history and cookies ... that's the point
I was trying to make here ;) 
your search and the actual browsing itself happen in two distinct
processes that can not see each other.

the results *have* to be less specific but you also pay with less data
(your IP and the search term) ... even more so if you use a confined
packaging format like flatpak or snap that cuts down even more
potential information about your system.

also ... i was indeed half way joking, who'd use a commandline search
tool when not also permanently browsing with w3m to not get all these
ugly pictures from the web :P
