Recommendation for a graphic adapter for Ubuntu 16.04

Is there a particular reason for staying with such an old version of
Ubuntu? Any hardware you buy today will still be under warranty when
16.04 goes out of support -- next year, I believe.

I personally have had significant problems with nVidia Fire cards
under Linux -- either drivers needing newer OSes, or the reverse:
hardware whose drivers won't run on older OSes.

As such, I would probably suggest an AMD Radeon Pro card. There are
drivers for Ubuntu 16.04:
