Yes, a tip well worth knowing. Weirdly, the one format people ask me 
about is LaTeX, which LO doesn't support (there used to be a plugin but 
it wasn't much good). Fortunately AbiWord opens both .docx and .odt 
files and has an excellent LaTeX export.
