2 Inboxes one account????

Good Afternoon,

On my wife's system she has two email inboxes -

One is under her email address (like normal) the other is under her 
local folders. How can I remove the one in her local folders?

She is running Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS and Thunderbird.

The way it is currently setup is causing problems with her accessing 
email and not getting some of her messages, very confusing.
