Geany installed using snap won't start

Using Mint 18.3

I installed Geany from the snap store. When I try to run it I get this 
message:  Failed to open file '/share/geany/geany.glade': No such file 
or directory

I do have a /snap/geany-gtk/share/geany/geany.glade file.

I have installed Brave & Pycharm via snaps and they work fine.

Searching the above error message in connection with Snaps didn't 
produce anything useful for me.

Could use some help figuring this out.
