External touchpad for Ubuntu?

I think you read my message as if I was one of the other posters. My
message indirectly stated I could run GNOME settings.

That isn't my problem. I am interested to see the developers' end user
documentation. Turns out that the developers want someone to update the
docs. It looks like a lot of work has been put into this program. There is
some info, buried away here:
