This is normal behaviour for Gmail. It does not show _messages you
sent_ to you as new.

The reasoning is: you sent them; you know what they say; therefore
they are not new to you.

If you do not like this behaviour, then switch to another email
supplier instead of Gmail. It is normal Gmail behaviour and has not
changed in a decade.
