I hear you there, but my response is different. I'm 52 now and mostly
I just want a computer to work with the minimum intervention. It feels
like 18.04 came out about a week ago and 1 of my laptops is still on
it. I haven't got round to updating to 20.04 on anything yet, although
I am using it for new installs.

So I find your impatience a little odd -- I have the opposite response.

But if you must have it now, then install it now, in the usual way.
You could just Google "upgrade 20.04.01 now" or something like that
but to save you the effort:

Open a prompt. Do `sudo -s`. Then:

sudo do-release-upgrade -d
