I don't have any package with "gtk+-3.0" in its name, on my Ubuntu
20.04 system. I have the following:
libgtk-3-0
libgtk-3-bin
libgtk-3-common
libgtk-3-dev
libgtk-3-doc
The first three have been installed by default.
You can try installing the libgtk-3-dev package. If that still doesn't
work, then I'd say the source distribution isn't compatible with
Ubuntu. You should file a bug report, if this is the case.
