Gnome control center crashes

Hello.

The gnome control center, which resposible for the system settings,
doesn't work any more on my system. It crashes with a segmentation
fault ("Speicherzugriffsfehler"):

desktop ~ $ LANG=C gnome-control-center 
Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

I've already tried reinstalling it, but that doesn't help. :-(

Any ideas?
