Sorry. I think he did say something about security and someone mentioned
encryption. I've had a heck of a time with things finding ssl libraries
or building with ssl. You or the OP I guess could better narrow down the
security issue from a server setting to missing ssl stuff then. If it
has a verbose mode and still dies silently I guess you could see if it
supports the right encryption or can find the runtime link things
( ldd `which xxx` ).
