I run Thunderbird on openSUSE Tumbleweed, SUSEW's rolling-release
distro. I'm on v68.

If I may suggest: you don't want it.

Like Firefox Quantum, they are deprecating classic XUL addons. I
didn't have that many in T'bird but most of them died anyway and have
no replacements.

E.g.  one that connects to Exchange Server, which I needed.

Stick with the old stable version. I am considering downgrading.
