I don't know, as I mentioned (way back so may have been mussed) this Lappy is 
low on Ram, even (32 bit) 16.04.4 was slow as treacle until it got an extra 
128mb, that made it usable again, the only 18.04 iso is 64bit, I could let 
16.04.4 do-release-upgrade but it will take almost a day (slow broadband and 
low Ram) and may introduce more problems than is solves  

If it helps 17.04 live works, not tried 17.10 yet
