Yup, that is pretty much what I understood the difference to be and
what I meant.
If we are just talking about ordinary desktop installs here, and you
want the thing as current as possible and are not worried about
specific versions of specific packages -- which is, I submit, the
likely default condition for a typical desktop/laptop -- then what I
suggest is ``full-upgrade''.
If one were being much more cautious, e.g. on an important server or
something, fair enough -- but then, if that's the case, one is
probably not asking newb-type questions on a support list, right?
