True.

Well, can't disagree too much there, TBH.
If you like OpenBox, have a look at BunsenLabs, or failing that,
Crunchbang++. Both Debian derivatives with a nicely-tweaked OpenBox
install on top.

Chacun à son gout.

Hey. I can't let that slide.
I am not telling anyone what to like, or what is good or bad, but
Unity was an _excellent_ desktop environment if you learned to use it.
I ran it on multiple machines with 2 large screens and it handled it
_excellently_ and very efficiently. Much better than GNOME 3 does,
IMHO. You can have a panel on either or both screens, launcher on
either or both screens, and it had good window-management and
virtual-desktop management.

Agreed.

I'm not sure what you mean there, but if you're saying that going from
Unity to GNOME is a downgrade, I agree.

It is maturing fast, and the exposure Ubuntu give it will accelerate
that. But the dev team have fixed ideas and it's not going to
metamorphose into something much more pleasant.
P.S. _Please_ bottom-post.
