I managed to get a virus!
Or well, a gazillion of them.
Luckily they add themselves to the Windows Defender Exclusion List, so
you only have to go down the list to delete all the files :).
The most annoying part is the windows filesystem permissions system
which can basically prevent you from deleting anything.
Took me an hour though to get everything deleted but no new connections
are opened up anymore by suspicious programs.
So what's most annoying is actually:
- cannot delete the services they installed
- cannot remove stuff from the exclusion list
The amount of crap it installed, christ.
A bunch of them just install themselves inside a Windows Defender
folder.
Apart from the initial ehm... source, they downloaded about 32 megs of
data.
That is, executables of course.
But I guess now everything is gone again.
I had some small tiny inkling of a doubt that this would be basically a
virus pack.
Lol.
