My system runs fine in Windows.
PSU is older but A-brand.

I can't completely discount the raid but when plasma stops responding
this can be indicative of write problems.
To files I mean.
So there can be some IO lock.
The only thing I can do to verify is run a script in the background that
does vmstat -d on the root and cache device and logs it to a file.
