The "modern" GUI is not meant to use any actual textual language, since that
would imply that only (fill in the language) literate people can use the
computer. Instead pictograms are used. This makes the computer usable by all
people, including illiterate persons (although how an illiterate person would
make use of a word-processor is not explained). And of course *everyone* has a
high resolution display, so a highly detailed image is used.
